Dark and Light
Photo: Dennis Seddon (Nikon D7500)
‘Two roads diverged in a wood,
And I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. ‘
Robert Frost 1874 -1963
The ghost train
. Dracula be aware
As soon as I saw Dennis's title, "Dark and Light", WB Yeats' "Aedh wishes for the Cloths of Heaven". came to mind..."The blue and the dim and the dark cloths, of night, and light, and the half-light". And the sense of peace in the photo brought the last line back to me..."Tread softly for you tread on my dreams". Lovely photo, Dennis.
I think that’s what we are all looking for now, a way out of the darkness and into the light.
Looks like the train are not running, but dont worry because I have a video of a ride of the Haigh Hall train.
The engines is named Helen (I do think Helen is a lovely name for a train)
and the video is a full circuit with a stop at the Walker gardens, it also shows the fat controller women waving her green flag and blowing her whistle to get the journey started.

A ghostly feel to this picture . Red Clogs is somewhere down one of those lonely tracks .
A perfect title for an excellent pic.
