Sennicar Lane
Photo: Dennis Seddon (Nikon D7500)
Its a long climb up Sennicar Lane on a bike I did it two weeks ago right up to the top, and with it being so dry I felt the back wheel skidding.
What a lovely, peaceful scene. I love dappled sunlight through trees; it gives a place a dream-like quality....a feeling of timelessness.
That is a really lovely shot Dennis..thank you.
I remember someone pointing out the meaning of Sennicer Lane a while back …Seven Acres if I’m correct.
It is, Wigan Mick. You must have been very keen to go up Sennicar Lane by bike.
About two weeks ago, when we had that very hot weather on Sunday, I walked down Sennicar Lane. I chose to walk down Leyland Mill Lane, up Hall Lane and up to Haigh Hall. Then, down School Lane, down Sennicar Lane and on to Wingates Road, cross the River Douglas and up the steps (Sicklefield) to Wigan Lane. Eventually, ended up at the pub for a beer. Nice day and a nice walk.
Lovely pic !
Dennis, wonderful photograph of an idyllic part of Wigan/Haigh. Thank you for posting it.
Outstanding Wiganer! I don't know how old you are, but many a young man would be proud to be able to boast of doing such a walk. and a well-deserved pint at the end of it to round of the day. Excellent!
WIGANER.
Mick forgot to mention that rides an electric bike.
Thank you! Dennis. I won't see twenty-one again.
Nice pint of cold Guiness at The Brocket - sat outside at one of the tables. It was certainly an enjoyable pint considering how hot that day was.
Enjoy your outings with your camera and with the knowledge that many of us enjoy the photographs you let us share with you.
Lovely photo Dennis, another one of our memorable walks. Thank you.
Shouldn't there be two hens in Guinness.
Yes, there should. Trying to type too quickly on my mobile phone. Sorry!
Roy, is it? He didn't tell us that!
