Hairstyle
Photo: Dennis Seddon (Nikon D7500)
On our travels around the Wigan area we see a few horses/ponies like this in fields. A lot of them are just in fields with very little shelter and no signs of a water supply? We have just had the hottest days on record who is responsible for these animals welfare?
Aww,he's beautiful...thank you Dennis.
I had a fringe like that as a boy . I remember having to shut my eyes while the scissors snipped away , and when I opened them there was a miniature Henry V staring back at me in the mirror .
PeterP, this horse, along with others, is in Haigh and they are all very well looked after.
Dobbin.
He looks as if he is about to do a little song -and-dance like a pantomime horse! He just reminds me of Mr. Ed!
I would say she is the Rita Hayworth of the donkey world with that coquettish hairstyle. Peekaboo ‘come and get me’ …..
PeterP, they're Gypsy Vanners and according to this website they are growing in popularity. https://www.thesprucepets.com/gypsy-horse-breed-profile-4797753
About ten years ago my son and his girlfriend at the time was driving along Liverpool Road between Hindley and Platt Bridge and came across a foal of this breed running up and down the road, they called the police who got it collected and they assumed it had got loose from the field at Spring View, it was lucky not to have been hit with a vehicle.
Lovely photo Dennis, you do get some brilliant ones. Love this.
