Roby Mill
Our house is on the left down in the dip Mick, so its not visible.
But I can just about see the M6 and the old Prince Albert pit ventilation shaft.
I live in Roby Mill but I can't make out where that is!
I think Mick doesn't know what's Roby Mill and what's not.
Thank, you still have a ‘yonder ‘
a distance your eyes can see,
but look out for the hawks come flying ,
with £’s , not for caring or be!
Protect your green with a passion ,
For regret will grow angry and cold ,
And your hatred for those who took it ,
will freeze your thoughts to unfold ..
Mal - it's looking over the fields from College Road, near the site of the old convent.
The white cottage(s) on the left are on Lafford Lane (those that are at right angles to the road) I believe the Sixsmith family lived there at one time. The cream coloured gable in the centre is on what I think used to be Phythian;s farm.
