Very nice photo David , pretty fast shutter for this one ,everything in focus , even the ripples on the water are sharp, well done.

The most beautiful photo I have ever seen on PAD

What a lovely photo to see first thing in the morning...David you sure have an eye for beauty...the Cherry Blossom frames it just beautifully...so thank you.

This was the most beautiful section when I walked the canal from Skipton to Wigan Pier

David: Very professionally done, like Maureen stated the cherry Blossom effect is stunning.

I agree with everyone....one of the loveliest photos I have seen on p-a-d. In a photographic competition that would be a winner. Roy, that's a long walk!!....we have a caravan near Skipton and travel in on the bus, and we often see people walking the canal bank between Gargrave and Skipton but Wigan Pier.....wow!

I bet the couple on the boat would love a copy of this photo

An absolute beauty this one . Makes you want to do Roy's walk . Can it be done in one day Roy ?

No better frame for this dreamy photo than the Cherry Blossom - lovely composition.

Let me bend on easy chair,
Fragrant shadows wash my hair,
Light that petals , ‘cross my skin,
Tree’s who bow, then waft me in,
Water’s glass turns rib cage groove ,
Then reverts back to re-flect smooth.
Easy edges, softness hears ,
the waters gentle paddle tears ,
as trinkets drop to no ones fears ,
and silence calms the noise that nears ,
to hide behind whoever steers ,
the those who cut the cut..

Poet it is over 60 miles from Skipton to Wigan using the canal. I think you would need a few days to cover this distance unless you are a seasoned walker

Comment by: Roy Lewis on 7th May 2022 at 18:12

It’s about 70 miles…I did it 4 year’s ago with my 11 year old grandson Ben…it took us 5 days..we did it for charity for Wigan Hospice after my wife passed away

Lovely photo David, it reminds me of the song." I'll be with you in apple blossom time" Alice I'm sure the couple would love a copy, about 5 yes ago,a photo came on pad. From DTease, it was a family walking through Haigh Hall, on a cold winter day, in the snow,it was myself, husband and son, and pet Labrador. It was headed No other Love.
