That's a very imposing building, looks as if it's been restored with a makeover.

What is the building used for now Dennis
It's just up the road from us.....in fact I've just passed it on the bus. Used to be my husband's and his mates' "Local" but it's apartments now.
Gives me the feeling of a coastal property . Does it look out to sea with seagulls . Good picture Dennis .

I always thought it looks a bit out of character,
Passed it many times but never went in when it was a pub.It looks very smart.
Remember it well, from when i lived round there.
I am reliably informed that the pub is now two houses.
Incidentally I did not post the above. I would have used a capital I and I was playing killer pool at that time.
Dave opposite the building is open pasture land. Further down the road one way is a travellers site and the other way is the prison. The area looks ok when you drive through it but google the area and it leaves a lot to be desired.
It was a Lion Brewery pub, I only went in on one occasion to have a drink with some work-mates, Got off the train at Bickershaw Station then after a few pints caught train to Wigan. Like Broady say it is now 2 houses.
we held our meetings of the Foresters at the Queens Hotel years ago !
