Willoughby Farm
No wonder the Scots felt at home in Little Scotland with so much Stone property in the "wilds" of Blackrod, Aspull and Haigh... lovely photo Dennis
Grand photo is that Dennis. Beautiful sky, nicely framed pic. The hedgerow just waiting to spring into life again. I must have passed this farm thousands of times many, many years ago but can't quite place it, lovely old style farm.
There is no footpath on either side of the road on this stretch. I bet the passing motorists thought I was a nutter teetering on a bit of grass just to take a photo!
Lovely photo Dennis,thanks.
Beautiful photo. I've only ever lived in a little terraced house and have been content to do so, but I admit I would love to live in that farmhouse. It looks so homely and welcoming.
Nice photo Dennis, I spend a lot of time up here, were exactly is this Dennis?
Good shot Dennis. Is it the one near the S bends as you're travelling to Blackrod from Haigh ?
My brother Henry worked for the late Bill Marsden at Willoughby Farm and the late George Marsden ,Bills brother at Tuckers Hill Farm when he left school in 1964.
Your right Dennis its not a safe place there ,been some accidents over the years, on Meadow Pit corner, just imagine pulling out of the gate, with a slow moving tractor and trailer loaded with bales ,its a bit risky in both direction's,.... wow.
Good framed photo.
The front room window will not get much light.
No Scottish G then V what a change
Still moaning I see..
