I like Newbugh. We go to The Red Lion there for a meal on birthdays and anniversaries. Very picturesque and just far enough to go from home.

Dennis Betts (ex Wigan Warriors) owns and runs the village shop and tea rooms.

Thats correct Bradshaw girl, I went into the old post office last year and was surprised to see Dennis behind the counter.

It's a nice shot - but I'm pretty sure it's quite a way outside Wigan Borough. Is that allowed? I've been thinking of sending some photos in but want to get it right.

I know that Newburgh is not exactly in the Wigan area, but it is one of many fine places not far away. So I suggest that other fine places that
we visit and appreciate ought to be shown. Your comments please.

A day in limbo as we wait for sun ,
Once a God to cultures done ,
Worship did , like we the cross ,
Either which, we all are lost .
We need our Faith , we need our sun ,
Cross or Ra, both be one..

Ray I agree, WiganWORLD should allow photos from all over the WORLD, Ive said this many times before.
Every angle, season of Wigan has been shown on PAD now so it should go further afield.

Perhaps on a separate category would be nice.

I take photo’s almost daily back home in Calgary. Some very scenic especially winter ones.

I suggested a category like ' Wiganers abroad ' a few years ago
