When was this one taken Mick?

There are far too many adverts on here now, hardly enough room for the photo!

By hook and by crook I think you are right Dt. At the moment I'm seeing a bride with her bridesmaids all showing their thighs which look like pig's trotters.

Also my iPad freezes on this sit I wonder if it is the adverts.

Comment by: burtspieeater on 2nd January 2022 at 09:56

Luckily I don't get any adverts on my PC.

DTease, I have no adverts at all on my screen, you need to get an add blocker. Lots of different ones available.
The photo on my screen is fantastic with nothing to detract from it.

Teasy the photo was taken on my way home from a bike ride, I was stood having a breather on the Crooke canal bridge.

Comment by: John G on 2nd January 2022 at 13:16

Veronica: Let’s swap, you can have my magnetic flip case, send me your pigs trotters. Oh happy new year to you all.

Comment by: Helen of Troy on 2nd January 2022 at 13:42

Looks like a nice spot to stop for a breather Mick, very pleasant.

I agree DT, lots of adverts

After weeks of looking at Pig's trotters they've trotted off John G. Instead I've got something else ...It looks like a lawnmower but it's a secret way to cut power bills! Oh Joy!

I have one where someone seems to be sticking a nail or something in a socket with a pair of pliers. Definitely NOT a good idea!

Comment by: DTease on 2nd January 2022 at 15:22

Mick, I was asking when it was taken not where it was taken.

Just behind the narrow boat on its own amongst the trees is the replica of the head tippler with a coal tub on its rails. Pity the trees obscure it from the canal. Just in front of the camper van, are the rail lines embedded in the road from the old John Pit mine feeding the head tippler.

Nice photo, looks like the grass has just been cut, ( but not recently) I put a comment on yesterday, wishing you all Happy New Year. But it didn't appear.

Comment by: Veronica on 2nd January 2022 at 17:45

Edna, the grass must have been cut with the dodgy lawn mower that I am now seeing that's a secret way to cut power bills...;~)

Edna: Don’t worry you said it, Happy new year to you Edna.

Looks like late summer DTease. Looks a nice place.

Comment by: John G on 2nd January 2022 at 19:03

DTease: If he’s just come back from a bike ride, and stood up on Crooke canal bridge, “Well let’s say know more” I wonder why the photo is sloping slightly to the left.

Comment by: Mick on 2nd January 2022 at 22:39

Teasy would say around 5pm, because I usually try to get home for tea which is served in our house at 6pm

Comment by: Angela on 2nd January 2022 at 23:07

Haunted photographs are my adverts.

Comment by: DTease on 3rd January 2022 at 00:10

Would that be BST Mick?
