Photo-a-Day (Saturday, 11th December, 2021)
Catching the Sun
Time has gone , the face I barely recognise,
just a vague outline, of once was mine, now seems so long ago.
No doubt with regret, that this new face met , has moved like a well bred horse, and sped along , taking old things upon , on a journey, one way, from me...
We see a lot of these solar panels on houses that where installed by the council. Are they cost effective and how many years does it take to recoup the cost of installation? How much electric do they generate per household?
Doesn't look as if they are catching much sun !
The solar panels upon the ridge
Yawn to the sun for some voltage ,
But the sky's so dull and wet and foggy ,
It's like panning for gold in the River Dougie .
So throw another log on the grate ,
Until we have some power supply ,
For unfortunately at this slow rate
We'll get no heat till next July .
They would get more power from a triple A battery at this time of the year.
Looks like it was a dull day in Wigan when this photo was taken.
The way prices are going, by this time next year we’ll all be wishing we had some of these.
