Leaves of Brown
What a lovely scene to wake up to..and beautiful colours,I can almost hear the rustle of those leaves..thank you Dennis.
Thanks Dennis, brings back fond memories of childhood days, long walks around the plantations.
Great photo, I could tell it was one of yours !
'The leaves of brown came tumbling down,
Remember that November in the rain .....
The sun went out, just like a dying ember..
That November in the rain'.....
Lovely Autumnal scene, makes me hum a tune....
A lovely photo, Dennis, that brings warm memories of visiting my friend who lived in Haigh at one time. A beautiful Autumn photo of a haunting, timeless place but, I have to say, it would make a very difficult jigsaw puzzle!
Some people think North America is the best place to see the colours of Autumn, but they are wrong the best places are Japan, and China.
Lovely picture, Dennis.
Mick, you always have to have your 2 pennyworth, have you ever said anything good about the area in which you live?
Dennis: Very nice photo, very good the way you have composed the frame waiting for the light to come through.
More important than ever now to try and protect and preserve these beautiful areas for the generations following us, to enjoy.
Lovely photography Dennis.
Thank you.
Vermont is absolutely beautiful in the Fall, (as they say in America and I have seen) but the trees here and in Scotland are no different.
You are very lucky to have such beautiful woods. We have woods behind us ''maintained '' by the Woodland Trust....they dont look anything like Dennis's photo I am very sad to say.
Back to sleep with brush we sweep ,
as Nature rests in silent keep ,
Tomorrow’s fall will keep the call ,
like gentle petals they blow to all ,
but none we hold for Earth has told ,
shall feed my body since time was old ,
and from this birth
a treasured worth
shall reach to skies above ..
Beautiful pic Dennis,as usual !
Dennis, a nice peaceful photo of an avenue of trees, and a scene that creates a curiosity of what lies beyond the bend.
