Air Travel
I count eight flights over there. How close are you to an airport ?
O -X fancy a game of Noughts and Crosses anyone. Great photo Anne
I like to look up at these contrails, and then see where they are heading by looking at https://www.flightradar24.com/SHT7J/29467cd3
Anne that's a big bird on that pole, looks a lot bigger then a crow.
Anne about 10=00pm every night we hear two planes going overhead we presume going into land at Manchester. We have enjoyed the peace and quiet of the empty skies during the pandemic.
Very nice, Anne.
Well done you.
Good photo Anne,I have to say we do seem to have had more blue, clear skies without so much air travel.
Some will be rejoicing - I think it's still too soon - I won't be flying off just yet. I like the sky without the trails ..
That's a very atmospheric photo. I like the way the damp tiled roof and the overhead leaves form a picture-frame for the criss-cross web of trails from the planes.
good photo of contrils anne
I just love all the beautiful colours in the sky..as Elizabeth says, there hasn't been as much pollution so everything seems much clearer..thank you Anne.
Sky a polished opal scoured by planes but mostly cirrus cloud up there I think . The hawk roosting is the highlight for me . A grand picture Anne . Photo of the month (so far)
It’s the weathermen putting up the isobars again.
Great photo Anne, but I liked the clear blue sky, and no traffic sound in March 2020.The first lockdown. Very Peaceful and no pollution.
Mick it might be a buzzard as they love perching on posts.. When we moved to Somerset 25 years ago they were quite rare but we see them all the time now.
Excellent photo Anne, beautiful colours well captured.
Could very well be a buzzard. As Carolaen says plenty about. Picture taken approx 7-30 am 17th Sept. According to my airband information book is an ATC area known to aircraft as Mersi for incoming traffic to/from Manchester, western approaches, from the east it is Rossen.
