Lesser Spotted Policemen
The fledgling on the left seems to have contracted some sort of brown fungus around it’s chin area, while the one in the middle as had to put his dinner on the floor while he tries to explain the intricate art of writing on a piece of paper with a pencil to the bewildered youngster.
The other specimen seems to be searching the guy with his hands on his head. I’m sure we all hope he his delving into the man’s pocket rather than somewhere more delicate as he doesn’t seem to be wearing gloves!
Notice the policemen’s curled up toes, this has evolved over many years due to the fact that the Policeman’s four wheeled habitat has meant that he no longer puts any weight on his feet thus allowing the toes to curl up due to lack of use.

You'll not be saying that if you ever need them in an emergency.
Police do a great job, one what deserves great credit in this modern day.
I hope they are clearing those peggers off our streets, scruffy untidy layouts. Looks like that dinner on the floor Dennis is a can of larger taken off a drunken laya about .
There’s no two ways about it Dennis you sure made me laugh. As for the shoes curling up at the toes we lassies understand that, when wearing shoes with pointed toes we used to stuff cotton wool down the front of the shoe, problem solved.
Excellent Dennis!
Must be thirsty work standing up
Is this are becoming a hotbed of crime? A few weeks ago I left Wallgate station after a day out with friends. My intention, to get a taxi from the shop a little father along. Distracted by the number of police I completely missed the shop. However, entering the shop there were more police interviewing an almost naked bloke. Didn’t hinder me….. what it was all about ????
The young 'curled up toes one' looks very wet behind the ears. He looks as if he's just left school to me. But that's a sign of age catching up with me when bobbys look so young! You could understand the curled up toes because bobbys used to sway backwards and forwards with feet in the 10 to 2 position! Those were the days though......brilliant Dennis - David Attenborough would be proud of you. Hahaha!
Don’t worry Alan, those scruffy, untidy peggers will go back to the Police Station for a brew shortly.
3 policemen ??
You are lucky in Wigan, here in the wilds of Norfolk we never see any at all, the occasional yellow & blue car roars by but that about it. Dont even have a police station anymore, nearest one is in Cromer but that does not invite the public in, after a local outcry they installed a window hatch at the side of the building for queries.....
Still Dennis, you made me laugh with your comments !
I wonder if they said to the apprehended , individually one after each other , 'Hello ' , 'hello ' , 'hello '.
I'm just wondering if the 'villain ' dropped that can on the floor instead of in the bin! It's a common occurrence in the town centre... the 'bobbies' need to patrol in threes to catch 'um and the best place is within 3 feet of a bin....
This is an unusual photo. In the last couple of weeks I have seen police in two's heading over to Mc Donald's or the Pound Bakery, and yet here we have 3 to 1.When my son was attacked 9:30am because he would not part with any money, two males, got away with it and he had a witness.Guess what!! Not a police officer in sight.
