Messing about in Canoes
If I could paint I'd try with you,
If I could draw I'd try that too.
I'd sit alone and bask in sun,
smell the water I sit by on,
I'd watch the insects two by two,
say hello as folk went through,
sailing past on carefree drift
I'd paint my canvass and just
dream a bit..
There's a lot of canoes and paddle boards on the canal lately, and most of them are inflatable
"This is an old fashioned picture that old fashioned people like me " like!
(as Mick is fond of saying... )
"Just One Cornetto"....!
'e'..Thats a very sweet little poem.
I think the man on the right is being told by the woman that he has to stay over there until he learns that it’s not done to break wind in polite company.
A lovely photo depicting a peaceful summer scene - looks very relaxing. Is this Gathurst?
He could always blame the gurgling water or even the fish Dtease.
Lovely summer photo, messing about on the river ( canal) nice poem e.
The object that looks to be a solar panel in the top right corner intrigued me, was it on a road or the railway, so I looked up Bridge 41. Link to info: https://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WMPW7M_Stone_Bridge_41_On_The_Leeds_Liverpool_Canal_Parbold_UK
So that were I was Cyril, who would have thought we would be having solar panels on the railway line in Appley Bridge.
Not many years ago the railway signals and warning signs would have had oil lamps illuminating them.
Irene,I hope you're feeling better.
Thankyou Maureen. Just had a few problems and not been too good but I can see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Irene,I hope you're feeling better.
Irene, I do hope you are soon better. I posted a comment wishing you well but it doesn't seem to have appeared. xx
That happens to me sometimes, Veronica, that my comments don't go on! But thankyou, Dolly dear. xxx
Veronica,I recall telling Irene this..when you've put your verification code in,click in the same box because sometimes it puts its own letters and numbers in,if it stays the same then your comment will be seen...I only wish I knew why sometimes my comments double up hours later lol.
I think after I have put the numbers in the box Maureen I must rush off without checking. As you say sometimes daft words come up with the autocheck.
Also Maureen, I believe the man who invented predictive text died last Friday and it his funfair this Friday. ;o))
That tickled me, Dolly! xxxx
I know Irene, when I first heard it I thought there was actually a man that had invented it and he'd died! ;o))
Glad it tickled you ...
