What a pleasant country scene.

Good one Dennis.

It looks as if the stone 'cottages' on the right have been extended onto the pub. It's a lovely scene.

Good pub serving great food. A little bit out of the way but well worth a visit.. The building adjacent was a barn extension and is reputed to be haunted.

Who wouldn't wish to sit out there in the sunshine with a pint of locally brewed foaming nutbrown ale .
This pub was once part of a classic circular walk comprising the Crown , the White Crow , then up the hill to the Grey Horse , left down Jolly Tar Lane to the Wagon and Horses before ending up at the Old Seven Stars .
The Grey Horse and the Stars became restaurants , sadly the Wagon a house not public . A grand five 'pinter' with enough exercise to keep the belly at bay .

Poet, that’s a cracking walk, even without the ale. Beautiful scenery on all sides.
