Smashing, surreal shot, Andrew.

Good one.

Why is the fence barrier red hot.

Comment by: Mick on 14th March 2021 at 07:27

What a shame that car drove past just when you took the photo Andrew

Comment by: Helen of Troy on 14th March 2021 at 07:34

That is a very striking image Andrew, thanks for posting it.

Comment by: Irene Roberts on 14th March 2021 at 08:16

How unusual, and quite ghostly!

Comment by: Maureen on 14th March 2021 at 08:32

Just love it..beautiful.

Comment by: Garry on 14th March 2021 at 08:35

At first I thought it was one of Dave Oy's photos, Andrew.
A really good shot and the stream of car rear lights.
To be fair a great shot as well without the red lights.
The full moon at dusk and Owls hooting great. Very peaceful.

Comment by: Arthur on 14th March 2021 at 08:39

Mick the car lights have been done deliberate.
Dracula comes to mind.
Great photo.

Now that's a great photo your car headlight used as though it's the moons reflection.
No criticism Andrew but not too sure about the vehicles rear lights. Very tranquil love it.

Comment by: Alan on 14th March 2021 at 08:49

Andrew you and Dave Oy are the greatest. Excellent photo I can almost hear the Owls calling.

Comment by: Al on 14th March 2021 at 08:57

I'm not sure about the red lights, but the atmosphere and full moon shot is very good.
So quite and scary.

Comment by: Lectriclegs on 14th March 2021 at 08:59

It's terrible a total lack of preparation and thought.

Comment by: Malc on 14th March 2021 at 09:26

What a shame the red strip spoils
this beautiful night time photo.
It has everything full moon, piece and quite. I really like the way you've used your car headlights as the moons reflection and light, very cleaver.

Comment by: Edna on 14th March 2021 at 09:45

Very good photo Andrew.I love this, this is the week of the New Moon.Very appropriate.

"Slowly , silently, now the moon
Walks the night in her silver shoon;
This way and that, she peers, and sees
Silver fruit upon silver trees;...."
Walter De La Mere

It's a shame about the red tail lights , it was a beautiful new moon last night.

What a beautiful photograph . I'm wondering if that's Venus by the big moon . I'm also wondering if the Roadrunner has just rounded the bend . Beep Beep .

Comment by: Andrew on 14th March 2021 at 11:43

Thanks folks! Agree with what's been said about the red trails - I wanted the headlights to light up the main road but forgot I'd get the red trails too!

Comment by: Pat McC on 14th March 2021 at 12:56

Beautiful photograph. The moon always seems to have an eeriness and coldness about it.
We had a great view of the snow moon a couple of weeks ago, it seemed to light up the whole village.
Thanks Andrew

Comment by: Mick on 14th March 2021 at 13:26

Andrew you should have took another when the road was clear.

Have you thought of sending the photo to the makers of Red Stripe lager, you never know they might be able to come up with some way of using it to advertise their lager

"A moonrise from Meadow Pit Lane at Haigh"

Actually, it's a moonrise from School Lane at Haigh.

Comment by: Rainh on 14th March 2021 at 15:31

Poet , it could be the star Spica , in Virgo . Don’t think Venus is visible this month .

Comment by: James Hanson on 14th March 2021 at 18:55

That's an old photo.

Comment by: John Harrison on 14th March 2021 at 19:18

Comment by: Poet on 14th March 2021 at 20:46

Thanks Rainh . Spica hey , how brilliant . I've had a nice read about it on Google . And yes , you're right . Venus is behind the sun all march .
