It's proved to have a good advantage point on top of the Rabbit Rocks. Hope there's a photo of Hindley.
Well done Dave.

You're lucky to be able to see the beacon from up there, because there are so many trees that been planted on the top.

That's why Dave Oy is a professional photographer and you're not Mick, he has answers.
Another good one Dave.

Another good photo. Hope Anne sees this. Like Anne, I too was puzzled by one of the buildings shown on yesterday's p-a-d....I recognised the shape of the building but couldn't just place it....from today's photo, it seems it was Ryland's Mill. And, like Garry, I would be interested to see a view over Hindley from the rabbit rocks.

Steady on Arthur, Mick does a god job, out every day taking pics for you to look at, you don't have to be a professional to send pics to WW,. Ask Dave what he knows about Oil Rigs, then ask Mick and he will put you right.

Brilliant photo - what would that church be to the left of the Mill? st Michaels?

Comment by: Arthur on 21st February 2021 at 12:09

Sorry Jonno, just saying what it is.
No offense intended.

Comment by: Hindley man. on 21st February 2021 at 12:12

Yes Hindley would be great to see from that advantage view point, especially st Peters Church.

Comment by: Axcroft on 21st February 2021 at 12:15

The church is Wigan Baptist Church on Scarisbrick Street.
I just love these long shots and identifying landmarks from unusual perspectives.

There a ancient footpath made up of ancient stone flag stones that runs from Roby Mill to Gathurst across the field just above the viaduct.
You can see a bit of it going down past a pond.

You can see the pond on this video @1.00 https://youtu.be/Wm8SUJIpjvE

Lets face it, Dave is the best.
Jonno, mick gives his fair share of criticism out, lets not forget that.

Crikey!
There's no 'best', only opinion and personal tastes. Many thanks to those that like my photographs. Trust me - that's enough.
