If we shot all these little buggers, just think how many lovely oak trees we would have.

He's filling his boots that grey squirrel, he gets up earlier than the Red Squirrel... ! There's not as many red ones about these days. Sad but true...

Michael ! Definately one of your best ones.

He's gorgeous!

Mick... bear in mind although many people don't like greys they do bury the seeds hoping to find them later, some of which do grow into trees. If they didn't, seeds would simply lie and rot.
Nice piccy caught at just the right time.

They're a nuisance, especially so when ruining bird feeders and digging up and scoffing crocus bulbs.

Wonder if the rumour was true that Elvis liked nothing better than tucking into a roasted squirrel.

To some people a squirrel is a rat with a bushy tail. There is one grey living local to us and we see or hear it running over the roofs.

I have dozens running along my fence daily. Sometimes they are carrying food to store. In Spring they are often chased by magpies making a horrific din. I suspect they have been after the magpie eggs.

I live in the NE and we have the red ones. The greys are regarded as tree rats.
Good photo, nevertheless.
