Wedding Wagon
Ive heard of folks marrying their pets etc , but its the first time Ive seen a truck marry a car... Weird.
I now pronounce you van and wife and may all your troubles be mini ones,
The reception was going to be held at Charnock Richard services
Surprised that the number plate is obstructed from view by the mesh grill.Would have thought that was illegal?
Nice one Irene !!!
I was at my paternal grandparents grave in St Cuthbert's, Churchtown, Southport last year and a bride turned up in her fathers enormous tractor, he drove the tractor and gave her away, she had a right old struggle to get from her seat to the pavement, high heels and long wedding dress.
Peterp, no problem with the front plate, it's the back one that matters.
Roy, That sounds a bit like Mariette Larkin in The Darling Buds of May, getting out of Pop Larkin's truck at her wedding! On the subject of memorable weddings I hope Mick won't mind my adding a little story. In doing so, I am no way stopping people commenting on the photo but I thought it might just bring a smile in these awful days. When my daughter got married, my granddaughter Edie,( my son's little girl), was only three and insisted we say Grace at the meal as she was used to doing at Nursery. She said, "Hands together and eyes closed" and we all obeyed. Then she said, "Thankyou for a happy day, Thankyou for our toys and play, Thankyou for the food we eat, Thankyou for the friends we meet. Amen" We all solemnly said "Amen " and then Edie announced, very bossily, "You May Start"!
You made me laugh Irene, with the quip re Van & Wife !
And what a lovely little story about your grandaughter !
Brilliant Irene.
This wedding must have been a "classy" affair........ NOT
Lovely story Irene.
A puzzling picture though!
Irene, I love that little story. What a lovely thing to say from a cute little girl, also a lovely memorie for you all.x
Very strange photo to say the least.
Will the happy couple be touring in the van?
Might be a tight squeeze overhead.
I'd much rather have seen a truck with the Leyland badge. Let's hope imports will drastically be cut now we are Brexiting! It's now time to rebuild our manufacturing base.
Good quality photo but the content is rather boring.
