Beautiful rich colours, I like the contrast with the dark trees on the right.
What's the green mark at the bottom of the tree trunk?
oh no canals again
It's not the canal, Janet. It's the duck pond. We used to go regularly when we had our dogs but have never been since. I remember when a little dog had lost its toy in the water and was afraid to go any further than the edge, and Our Ben dived in and swam across and retrieved it. The little dog's owners were so grateful, even when Ben shook all the water from himself all over them! There used to be fritillary flowers around there every Spring. It's the only place I have ever seen them. I think we may pay a visit soon as there should be toadstools around now, which fascinate me. Beautiful Autumn scene.
The green mark at the bottom of the tree trunk is lens flare. It happens sometimes when you take a photograph against the light or into the sun.
Alan, the green is I think --- a trick of light on the camera lense.
Janet it is a small lake which you can stroll around in about 1/2 hr. When it 1st opened there were a jetty with a small pier which was used to launch model boats.
Woods, trees, water, leaves . What's there not to like? Lovely photo.
Nicely shot Frank :)
The Autumn leaves are guided, by mystery and charm,
They fall as if by notice, yet seldom cause alarm,
The wind it bends their branches,
sometimes until they break,
but leaves just shade their colours,
for a painters palette sake.
Green turns into golden,
Reds or half of two,
shades that welcome Autumn ,
drop leaves that once were new.
But now it's time for ending,
the dancers leave the stage,
the trees undress their clothing,
as Winter turns the page...
