Fairy Vilage
These painted rocks have got very popular with young mothers and their look alike daughters, what your supposed to do is take the rock and place in a new location.
I found two in Crooke village, so I put one in Shevington memorial gardens and one next to the beach in Torbay New Zealand.
You do see a lot of these stones nowadays, they are quite imaginative, I like the little house.
I believe they do this in Borsdane Wood in Hindley too. Lovely idea. Just a quick Thanks to Veronica and Maureen for you-know-what. Thanks ladies.
I was under the impression that you're also supposed to replace the rock you find with one you have painted yourself, the poor girl would have been upset that someone had taken her rocks and not replaced them. Now she has found out who nicked them she might walk up from Crooke and put one through your front window. ;¬)
Wonder why someone had to spoil the poker work on the plank of wood with filling the F in white? There are some ideas for painting rocks on this website, I like the strikingly colourful cat looking at the moon or is it the sun, and also the Owls, you could have your own Parliament of Owls in your garden or wherever. https://www.familydaystriedandtested.com/awesome-easy-rock-painting-ideas/
Mick, the man in your video 'Wigan Man' on Coppull Lane, he would join our small gang when doing the rounds of the pubs in the town centre in the early 1970s, though I can't recall his name I do remember he was always very jovial and as I recollect he was also quite well educated, I hadn't seen him for some years, but for the past year or so I've seen him around a few times and he doesn't seemed to have changed very much at all, he must have got the secret formula recipe from off Cliff Richard.
Happy Birthday Irene. Hope you had a good day.
These are lovely, and have given the children a lot of pleasure during lockdown.Thank you for photo
Thanks, Broady! xxxx
