Mr Seddon, are you suffering from Old timers. You took the same pic on the 19th of this month. Good pic though.

Its quieter on this photo than when this same view was shown on the 19th July, 2020 Photo-a-Day.

Nice shot - and of documetary importance with the 2m sign.

Derek, I sent this in at the same time as the other one. I don’t pick which one gets used, I just try to provide Brian with something to choose from.

Come on our Irene, they must be getting short of Pads so get you very good friend Geoff to send in some of his very good ones.

Woolie's corner, never been the same since the railings went.

I don't think Geoff goes on Wigan World, Mick.

Comment by: Mick on 27th July 2020 at 14:35

Irene it was you who commented that your very good friend Geoff sent some in once and they never came on, this was when you was getting sick of viewing some of my Pads

Comment by: irene roberts on 27th July 2020 at 15:48

Mick. you are absolutely wrong, love. Go back and find the p-a-d in question and you will see that I said that a friend of mine sent some
in once, (in fact more than once), and they never came on. I did NOT say it was Geoff because it ISN'T Geoff. It is another friend and I didn't mention that friend's name at all. I just referred to him as "a friend of mine". And I DIDN'T say I was sick of seeing your pics.....I said the administrators needed to alternate them with other people's photos so everyone got a chance of theirs being shown at a time when yours were shown day after day for ages. . I don't mind you commenting on anything I say on here but get your facts right before opening your mouth.

Comment by: Mick on 27th July 2020 at 19:22

OK so it wasnt your friend Geoff, it was just a friend.

This is a nice photo but I wish someone else could be given a chance to post on p-a-d. I have received by email a stunning photo of a well-known Wigan landmark which my friend has taken and recently sent into p-a-d. to no avail. My friend is a talented photographer as are many p-a-d daily viewers but it seems to be becoming a one-man-show. and I know people who have stopped taking the time to submit photos because they have given up hope of them being shown. Please, admin, give someone else a chance.

Mick, I have no objection to your photos and I often comment on them, and I'm sure you gain pride and satisfaction from seeing them each day, but there are other people on here who have taken the time and trouble to take photos to submit, often waiting for some time until the light is right to show their subjects to the best advantage.

Ive never ever done that Irene

I rest my case. I made a valid point as anyone can openly read on here and I called no-one. My friend no longer sends his photos in. I look forward every morning to p-a-d and to comments from the people on here who I feel I know. Long may it continue.

Comment by: Derek Platt on 27th July 2020 at 21:02

Sorry Dennis, maybe it's the person that chooses the daily pics that is suffering from old timers.

Comment by: Veronica on 27th July 2020 at 22:34

Irene has every right to say what she thinks Mick, same as you do!
Sounds like you've been watching Judge Judy... or Rinder..

Comment by: Dennis Seddon on 27th July 2020 at 22:36

Maybe he just liked both pictures Derek and decided to give them both a showing.

Comment by: Brian on 28th July 2020 at 00:02

Now now, less bickering please, lol.

I'll try to explain again. I receive oodles of photos. More than 365 per year so I have to select what I feel is credible, relevant at the time and fair. Would love to use them all but I can't. (although this may change by adding extra pics to new gallery).

Sometimes I make a mistake, by using a pic I've already used or a pic that is very similar. We're only human after all.

None the less, enjoy the photo.
Thanks Dennis.
