Three Sisters Dragolfly Pond
Dragolfly? NAture? Shoulda gone to Specsavers :)
I was up there yesterday and could see that theirs plenty of butterflies fluttering about, and the day before that I was a field in Billinge and there was loads there in the freshly cut grass.
Another beautiful photo once again Dave, summer is well and truly here. Thanks you've made my day.
A real Summer scene. We used to go regularly when we had our dogs, There were fritillary flowers in the Spring, the only ones I have ever seen, and toadstools, (for which I have a fascination), in the Autumn. We really must make the effort to go again.
Beauty spots like this are a Godsend, there are many like this all around - if you just go and look for them..
Veronica can you point me in the right direction for some that you know
DON’T DO IT VERONICA!!!
There's too many to count Mick especially near me but you would be pedalling up hill all the way... Might be too much for you ...I am sure genuine Wiganers could find them....
I didn't say anywhere specific Dtease - I'm not that daft! Hahaha!
Anyway we have 'borders' round Howfen
I like how the hard-boiled track gives punch to Dragonfly's squelchy shoreline. And if I could remove the shoreline's three or four water-loving grasses I'd then give Dave's excellent photo a picture mat of shoreline's sandy colour.
Teasy you are coming across as a right big softie with comments like that
Have you been on the Sherry, Dave Oy.
Your a Keaw Yed are you Veronica.?
I must admit that I’m not up to your standard yet when it comes to personal abuse Mick, but I’ll keep trying.
Garry - the only sherry that pases my lips is the little but that seeps in from a sherry cask matured whisky :)
I'm a Wiganer born and bred PeeBee. I adopted Westhoughton on marriage. Actually I have lived here far longer than I lived in Wigan... But it's my home town and always will be,
