St Marie’s Standish
Photo: David Long (Sony RX10 Mk3)
Great to see. Well done Fr. John Hindley.
I took the same photo on Saturday, but its not as good as this one because the wind was blowing from the other direction.
The priest really as got a flag for everything.
Well done Father John! I like to see a flag flying in the breeze in a village. I worked in a chemists in Standish as a young girl, (I was one once, honest!). It's a lovely place.
The great British Public can be such hypocrites at times.
A lovely gesture , makes the Church look alive instead of closed in the 'lockdown'....
I like it.
It's a only a lovely place if you're keen on constantly gridlocked traffic !
I can understand that Janice. It was different when I worked there in 1970-73! We only usually go through Standish on the 'bus these days on an occasional visit to Chorley Market.
Sorry, that should have been "Janine"
It's fine Irene.
