I was born in Prescott Street. Home birth in my day. Both my other homes are still there in Wigan and are more or less the same. My Prescott Street home has no doubt been turned over many times since.
Quite a odd feeling looking at the street where you took your first steps. Thanks for the post Mick.

On average gets hit by high vehicles once a year. Which part of low bridge do drivers not understand?

I'm almost sure that the one further down the road and turn left into Miry Lane is even lower than this one.

Some driver coming this way will have gone under the other low bridge which is higher than this and think that they can also get under this one.

My Aunty Mary and Uncle Billy Rowe also lived in this Street.
