Interesting photo Thomas, I wonder what was going on to warrant mounted police ?
We rarely see one on foot here, never mind one on a horse !

A little sunshine, lots of colour, AND lots of people. Very uplifting Thomas. Nice one.

A little ray of sunshine Thomas after The King of the Grot Spot’s recent photos.

That's a good photo, Wigan showing her true colours. The little boy waving at the 'bob - horses' and the policeman acknowledging him!

A rather homely photo with the child in the push chair engaging with the police horses and one policeman speaking to the child.
The old motto, on a modern background tops it off well.
A good image for Wigan.

I expect they were there to control the riots when M&S closed - or it could have been just another match day....

Helen mounted police are deployed on match days(football).

Whatever is going on..I just love the colours.
a lovely bright scene.

Comment by: Mick on 7th March 2020 at 12:44

Not just any old match day Rev. this will be to control the supporters of what they call the beautiful game.

It's time to get rid of the little green heart logo and return to the ancient and loyal insignia.

Caught at a perfect moment with the little lad and the policeman. I usually only see Wigan on weekdays but we went today and it seemed a bit livelier on a Saturday. Maybe the sun brought people out.

Shows how a bit of sunshine can change our mood , suddenly it makes us feel good after the gloom and cold of Winter. But if we get a severe drought this Summer , we will beg for rain , the darker the skies the better . Just shows how we humans want and expect , not hope and accept . This is why climate change will always defeat us , we have the need , desire and want to decide , bit like Harry and Meghan , this assumption of arrogance , when in reality, a minute , invisible cell , can kill us all . Welcome the warming sunshine , but with same measure ,
do so , the rain and floods , which without .,.
we depend . The Gods , whoever they may be , gave us the Dopamine of sunshine , but
also the darkness of Winter , teaching us to accept both . Whatever psychology book you may read , they all speak of balance and
harmony, with sunshine comes rain . If your need is wanting only one then you are moving against what Nature is teaching us, with one comes the other ...

I think its took more than a bit of sunshine

It's always good to see the police on their horses, and also good for public relations
