Pug(ly)
He ( or she) wouldn't be out of place at the Pug(ly) Pug Ball....that's for certain!
It must have been a very bad accident! Poor dog still looks traumatised.
He/she is very cuddly & not ugly at all, I think the eyes have it, they say love me ...& I do !
Well it's not the nicest looking dog on the block, but I'm very sure it's lovable - to its owner especially.
( I thought of Burl Ives singing ' Come to annual Ugly Bug Ball")
I think he's gorgeous, and most important of all he appears to be loved and cared for; I wish it was the same story for all animals.
It's better looking than the pie.
Is that one of owd Dave's Pugs.
They always look worried and or confused, such frown like features... Not my favourite breed of dog, that said I really don't have a favourite breed and as Irene said it looks loved and cared for.. It is a sin that so many animals are so horribly abused and neglected..
I knew a bloke who looked like him (honest).
He was in hospital just had surgery for a goiter.
His wife remarked
Pity the surgeon didn't take his head off!
A silly bread of dogs popular on Fakebook, this one even wearing a neckerchief, so Fakebookers can say how cute it is.
If only they knew how its been bred to look that daft
Nice little dogs but I dont think this is one if old Dave
No Cyril..it isn't one of Daves pugs.
A well-cared-for, pet, and one unworthy of a scary name. I'd have called it Denis', or Minnie', instead.
Have read that they are prone to injuries to their eyes by being scratched. The folds in their fur have to be cleaned very regularly as they can become infected. Last but not least the muzzles are becoming shorter and shorter causing breathing problems.. When they sneeze, it is introverted instead of sneezing outwards causing great irritation. Very sad.
Bet it thinks thank god that micks not my owner
Veronica if they have so many problems, why do people want them.
I don't know Mick, other than some people are born dog lovers. Some folk are ruled by their dog, I have a friend who's dog was in charge of her! I have never owned a dog so I don't know. I like my next door neighbour's
dog, he always wags his tail when he sees me. I once took delivery of a large item in their house for them, but I couldn't move the dog, a great lump, thumping his tail on the floor and who was in the way, what a performance! I wouldn't be any use at all, they are too tying for me!
Veronica,we have had a little chihuahua for about six months ,I have never known a more intelligent dog..but as you say re introverted sneezing..he hasn't got a short nose at all but when he makes what sounds like kernel cough, the correct way is to put your hand over his nose, stroke the throat and blow on his face, that stops it..it's just when they get excited..I love this little dog to bits.
I still think a lot of it is down to Facebook photo Veronica, I know one woman who just after having a baby went out and paid a small fortune for a French bulldog.
Like I said Maureen/ Mick if you are a dog lover, that's what you do...happiness all round!
Veronica, they are very tying but..after we lost our last dog (Border Collie) I seem to have done nothing but yearn for another dog..it's been like that since childhood....but as you say they are tying..ah well, all my own fault.
I like Border Collies Maureen and Red Setters, if I was to have a dog it would be one of them, or one like Zac next door, he is a big, lumbering black Labrador. Every time he sees me he always 'woof-woofs' and wags his tail!....aw.
Veronica,of course it would be entirely your choice, but Border Collies are a brilliant dog, their intelligence is second to none,if someone had told me I'd finish up with a Chihuahua I'd have laughed at them..but this little fellow is great,he knows everything that's said to him, tells me when he needs to go out,and is just so lovable it's not true,to be honest he's more like a baby which suits me fine but he isn't spoiled,he knows what's right and wrong..all that and he was the runt of the litter..I'm so glad that we got him.
Nice little dogs but I dont think this is one if old Dave
I have just received a Christmas card from Zac the Labrador next door! I have sent one back saying Merry woof, woof at Christmas and lots of walkies in the New Year!
Daft or what Maureen!! Aw he's lovely!
How lovely Veronica..and no it's not daft ..animals never let you down..I love 'em.
