It's nice to see our efforts worked in constructing the dam way back in 2009-10.I guess there is about 3m of flood water being held back when this photo was taken.In years gone by this would have partially flooded parts of Wigan. Nature over the years has reclaimed the site.

They should have made the dam so the gates closed a bit more so the river Douglas formed a permanent lake.
It could have a footpath all the way around it and filled with fish.

I bet the upper plantations are flooded
