Blackbird eating holly berries
Photo: Keith Beckett (Canon PowerShot SX600 HS)
Your subject was very much 'on the ball' Keith - And so were you.
That is really lovely photograph,I would never be quick enough to capture the blackbird with the berry, but I could get it flying away!I am impressed.
Well caught Keith with nicely contrasting colours.
How fitting and dignified it is that the most modest and plainly dressed fellow is our sweetest singer.
The Blackbird is an example to us all.
Doesn't he look intelligent? He looks as if he's listening for something. So beautiful.
Wherefore be the blackbird to
I know where he be
He be up your wurzel tree
And I be after he.
The Wurzels.
Well caught! Shame the berries will have been eaten by Christmas though, same happens with my Holly, I still bring branches inside though.
Irene he will be listening for next doors cat
Veronica....large red beads look OK tied on for inside.
Mick, I hope he is quicker than next door's cat!
Smashing photo, Keith.
Very Christmas'y..
Holly berries are poison to us but not to the blackbird.
Good idea Anne!
not very clear keith is it stuffed
Very nice, love it.
Keith did you see the true (all white black) bird not an albino that was living in and around your area about two years ago, I got a photo of that by chance walking up to the Bowling club one day
