Hoverfly
Great photo, never even heard of an hoverfly. how does it differ from the hover fly species.
So clear, clean and crisp,as the fly gingerly makes his way around the petals!
Good photo Mick, very clear, does that camera have Macro settings ?
Very nice photo.
Cracking picture that Mick . Love the tiny hairs around the body . Wonder what evolution gave it them for , capture pollen perhaps ? Thanks for posting Mick .
Beautiful photo Mick, thank you.
The flower petals look like (stir-fry) beanshoots.
I like its foil, Mick - Shades of a template for a stained glass window, perhaps.
The Hoverfly is sometimes confused with the Wasp but it is quite harmless and is a beneficial insect
Evening prayer
Once more in the morn on the pitch they will snow...
Fifteen blood red roses swing low.
Pray they will bloom on their
Chariot sweet.
Pray they'll prevail in the Afrika heat.
