What secrets do you keep my beauty,
as we gaze at the treasures on thee,
As you sit there in stillness and silence,
Will you share your whispers with me.

The breeze may just move your petals,
an artists canvass for free,
what paint was set on his palette ,
that gave us the magic we see.

Your colours will always be different,
a coat of wonder and spell,
So tell me please my special,
which artist, which painter, pray tell..

When you leave no-one will hear you,
just wonder where is it you go,
do you bob and weave tween grasses,
untroubled, unchained...Quite So!

In 27 years of living in our present house in the North East there have never been as many of these in our garden. Recently we had a "lost" racing pigeon too.
Beautiful photo, David.

Gary, it has apparently been a very good year for butterflies, especially Painted Ladies.
