If the houses are being sold leasehold, do not touch with a second hand barge pole.

Comment by: Veronica on 26th March 2019 at 08:41

That's a very good name for the 'estate'- I have thought of another one - ' Dough Way'!?
( especially near a door).....

Also If built by persimmon,

DONT GO NEAR.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Comment by: Philip G. on 26th March 2019 at 09:18

Here you are, Mick, . . . three more to add to yesterday's fantastic 'list of four': Fermentation Street, Bench Rest Road, and Crumby Chase for the Greyfriars types.

Don't think much of them . All glass and plastic.

Comment by: DTease on 26th March 2019 at 09:40

They could do with some “Flours” in that garden.

Comment by: DTease on 26th March 2019 at 09:43

Those houses are going up very fast. They’re certainly not “Loafing” around.

LEARNED MY LESSON, can you offer the poor buyers no ‘Crumb’ of comfort? Or are you convinced that any buyer will end up on the ‘Breadline’?

Comment by: John D on 26th March 2019 at 10:40

Not to be confused with Bakersfield, California.

Oven Bottom Close .....
(That's it now)

I don't think it's a question of not buying leasehold or from Persimmon. It's more a question of ensuring your conveyancing solicitor explains fully the terms of the lease and you as a buyer understand and accept the terms.

Are the "Upper Crust" taking over?????

Comment by: Wiggin Lad on 26th March 2019 at 19:56

I once delivered an old people's home its address was 'Saint Peters Close'
Honestly !!!

Comment by: Gary on 26th March 2019 at 20:20

Hi Mike - re leasehold. Apart from a flat in England or Wales there is no justification for a lease on residential property. Solicitors have been in cahoots with builders on this. The next PPI scandal.
Persimmon - evidence across the country of shoddy build standards ana ignoring complaints of serious structural faults. They are not alone, but the most prominent.

Leasehold!.. I thought the feudal system had died out centuries ago.

We desperately need two men back. Robin Hood and Guy Fawkes. Come back lads , all is forgiven.

Comment by: Willie on 26th March 2019 at 20:44

Seeing as the bakery was built on ancient burial grounds I wouldn't buy one. You have been warned, beware the wrath of bones.

Comment by: Maureen on 26th March 2019 at 21:36

How about "Honey Bun".

Comment by: Veronica on 27th March 2019 at 00:02

Would that be ' Honey Bun Lane ' or 'Honey Bunny Brow' Maureen???

Comment by: Maureen on 27th March 2019 at 08:01

Either of those would sound good Veronica.

Comment by: John D on 27th March 2019 at 15:54

Most of these suggestions are real crackers although some really take the biscuit. Anyway, that’s enough of my waffle.

Comment by: Maureen on 27th March 2019 at 17:13

Awww John D..that's as sweet as apple pie.

Comment by: Alan on 27th March 2019 at 19:10
