Swing
Nice photo Mick. I can vouch that this type of swing is most uncomfortable. Numerous pressure points.
And here's me thinking - kids don't do things like this anymore, I thought they just stayed indoors on their electronic gadgets and mobile phones, how wrong can you be !. As kids we made swings and tree houses in't woods but that was almost seventy years ago. Five of us kids on a swing like this when the branch broke, a few bruises that day I remember.
I would love to have a go on one of those swings - when no one is watching! I would probably end up having a dizzy spell though.
There's one been slung over a tree branch in Marleybone Park for some months now - maybe by the same gang.
Get that? Veronica . . . Marylebone Park. Wowee!
It means catching the train then a bus - I would be out of breath before I had a swing Philip - there's a whopping big tree at the back of my house l'll see if I can find a rope in't shed... I may be a while....
Very well, then, Veronica. But be warned . . . you'll need a Double Running Bowline . . . a far tidier knot than the one shown here.
Best not bother then........!
