Youv beat me to Rev because yesterday I sent in a Fairy Glen photo to PADs.
The Bluebells will soon be out in the glen, I hope the fairy hunting mothers and the kids who are flocking to the glen these days dont pick them all.

I wonder where fairies go in Winter? Do they hibernate?

They go round to Gary's for a sherry and a warm by the coal-fire, kath! I've heard of Fairy Glen but never actually been. One of those things we all mean to do but never get round to it. Lovely photo with a hint of Spring. xx

You've got a point, Mick - there seems to have been more people visiting the glen in the past year or so than I remember before. When we visited in February many of the emerging bluebells toward the top end had been flattened as the visitors overwhelmed the footpath. However, the best shows of flowers are up on the slopes, out of the way of posie-gatherers.
The lay-by off the A5209 is now too small for the numbers of visitors' cars, not helped by the house-owner reducing its size by placing boulders outside the garden fence when they were renovating the place. They could do with reducing the speed limit along that length, as well as putting up warning signs about walkers crossing to and from the Glen entrance... before there's an accident. I travel across to Scarisbrick quite frequently - and this section is the only one on the route via Burscough not to have had its speed limit reduced to 50 or 40 mph - an oversight, perhaps?

Why do you say before it's too late, Mick?

A nice scene of, dare I say, dappled light at the cusp of Spring.

Sherry and a roaring coal fire, great Irene. All fairies welcome.
