Fountain and Pavilion
That is a really unusual photo angle Dave & it comes off well. I like it.
Times I had ice cream cornet up there at the Pavilion....
great shot!
This is a lovely photo....how cleverly done! I can almost hear the water falling. Thankyou.
Problem with this fountain is that you get splashed when your walking by if there any bit of wind
What an unusual photo, really lovely. Spent many an hour in the park on Sunday afternoons, when courting with my husband. We used to have milkshakes upstairs in the cafe. We still walk in the park at least once every week, which memories.
There is the difference between a good photographer and Mick. Great shot without the shutter bug faff all too often seen on here and the silly parked cycle.
Mick, the trick is... to see which way the wind is blowing....and walk the other side !
Come on Mick...its a great pic & you know it.
Love the curtain of sparkling raindrops! It's different.....
Like it!
That "silly parked bike" has conveyed our friend Mick for thousands of miles, through thick and thin weather getting the photos out for our perusal, Mick may rub some people the wrong way, but think of the tapestry of photos that he has put on here. Nice photo Dave.
Nobody is saying that the photo is rubbish, my complaint is with the fountains design.
Ive seen lots of fountains because I do get out and about, just like this one which dont spray out when there is a bit of wind,I think the problem is with the size of the jets and the water pressure
Through drops of water by the million
A view up the steps to Mesnes Park Pavilion.
a shame the top of the cafe has been chopped off...
Ken, Mick has indeed contributed lots of photos. and they are appreciated. he's also very skilful with his comments: just enough to wind folk up but it's only attention seeking. poor thing.
Splashing diamonds in a bowl of rain,
Reminds the soldier of Bloemfontein
Of a time far away across the sea,
When he gazed on the mines at Kimberley.
Good one Poet.
