Good photo - on rather a different theme. Interesting - there must be a good economic case for the crop being grown in a relatively small area.
In Norfolk, where my elder son lives, there are huge fields of the stuff.

Yes Gary vast fields of sugar beet are grown not far from where we live here in Nth Norfolk. The roads are thick with mud at the sugarbeet harvest !
