It looks like the Aliens have landed.
Good photo. Summer on the Canal, magnificent!

That's a great photo Mick, well done!

A nice Photo, Mick - and that's quite some boat. Thanks.
Both had left some time ago, Jack had led the way,
While Timmy pawed his Tiffin bar - he'll eat it during play.

I'm sat beneath our polished deck, my books above a door;
A chosen set of twenty 'shorts', I'd peeled The Sign Of Four.

Tim and Jack both like a chase, but not the errant kind
And always give their sound advice, to forwards far, refined.

I've just returned my book, amid, those titles all in gold
And now prepare for tales of yore, within this boat, well-told.

Thats a very walkable tow path, anyone know how far it goes.

Lovely summery photo.

Good photo Mick. I watched a good game of Rugby, yesterday, at DW Stadium, Wigan and Leeds, lots of tries and good plays.

Helen it runs from Martland Mill to nearly to the top of the Wigan flight, and along the Leigh branch canal to Platt Bridge.

Helen of Troy...that walkable footpath goes from close to Martland Mill Bridge to the Whelley Loop Line

Is that a throwaway plastic bottle I see before me? The grass is looking very dry.

I've noticed that the more thoughtful members of the boating fraternity tend to leave a plastic bottle, or some other similar device over their mooring spikes as a warning to pedestrians...
.... and Mick. My old mate Doubleyolk of course used to just drain them then chuck them in the cut....which reminds me....where the deuce is the man? Don't tell me he's back in Tittybong.

He's on the big white Spaceship just behind the trees.

The boat looks as if it's been abandoned - no sign of life! The great adventurer always one step ahead.....

Thanks to Mick & Ste Wigan, I am not local to Wigan but will look it up on a map.
