Gathurst Viaduct
Nice picture Mick, I don't think I would like to live so close to a motorway, the thrum of those tires on the bridge must be bad.
Avast! Ye lubbers! 'Tis a Wagon I see on the horizon and laden down to the gunwales she be with pieces of eight from the Northern Parts I'll be bound (Although if she be English 'tis more likely to be Sixs and Sevens). Hoist the Skull and Crossbones, run out the guns and we'll be sharing the plunder by tea time mi hearties!
Er....sorry about that. What with all the hot weather lately plus an over indulgence in neat Lager not to mention the constant buzzing inside the back of my head, I seem to have suffered a rush of Sea Water to the brain.
Normal service will be resumed with the coming of the first rain.
The lorries, and also Ken's reference to acoustics, remind me of the song City of New Orleans; particularly the line Feel the wheels grumblin' 'neath the floor.
Contraflow on at present for 10 weeks as it is being re-surfaced and waterproofed again as Highways England made a cock up on the scheme last Autumn!
