Went last week end when there was a steam gala on.Then had the winding gear running with compressed air. Looked at the old mining equipment could recognize most of it.Daughter-in law asked me about a large grey object and after a few minutes I saw it was a coal hopper with man riding cages underneath.Brought back a lot of memories from my 20 years down the black hole

first saw this headgear I thought of a maccano set ( No disrespect to the designers or builders).

I suspect a Maccano set would be ideal, you can't get better material to make pitgear headframe.
