Photo-a-Day  (Thursday, 5th April, 2018)

This is a Sunday morning, and you can see one of the residents who looks like he is nipping out to McDonald's to buy breakfast, dressed in a dressing gown and bedroom slippers

a great snapshot of Wigan life.

I lived in Kingsway which is the second street on the right hand side until 1958 . We used to play football and tick rugby in The Grove. Only one resident had a car, Mr Evans at number 30. We gave him a push start many times. No chance of playing any games now.

Lad ....'Dad t'car won't start'....

Dad ....'Worrav I towd thee abeawt revving it up!' 'Where's mi slippers'?

Mam ..'.Put mine on - I've chucked um in't bin - stinking t'house out!

Brilliant, Veronica! Alan H, I remember Kingsway. I lived in Ince Green Lane. I remember The Grove but not with that many cars!

Give over you two, its a pic of life in Wigan that probably reflects life in many other places...take it as it comes, its not a slight on anybody.

Worst than all those things ivor biggun mentioned, he propably believes the Government is a compassionate and caring one.
Notice St Catharine's spire is nice and straight.
