Seeping the snow
I cant understand why this sculpture as never been vandalised
This must be a monument to Street Sweepers as they have become very rare as of late!
I think this is lovely, maybe the vandals think so too. Where is it?
Does anyone remember the legendary Tommy Brush who kept Standish clean and tidy single handed. His handcart looked like a big hedgehog with brushes and spades bristling from it. He wore a beret and had an excitable voice a bit like Eddie Warring.
Brendell if you go to the bottom of Bridgeman terrace its on the grass near the traffic lights. On the photo Dickinson Street is in the back ground.
Brendell, this is on the land at the bottom of Dicconson St. roughly opposite the rear of Mesnes St. multi storey car park.
The area has been okay ever since they booted Methadone Mick and the other Neds out of those flats, they were always causing bother being off their heads.
Brendell, it's Northway looking onto Dicconson Street and Upper Dicconson Street.
Thanks Guys. I have it now. I used to work for an electrical contractor whos premises were probably roughly where this land is now. Of course that was a long time ago!! Late 60's
