Photo-a-Day (Thursday, 4th January, 2018)
Early
Morning has broken like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird,
Praise for the singing
Praise for the morning
Praise for them springing
Fresh from the world......,
Cat Stevens
Good one Harry, but to early for me.
Veronica would have loved you to sing this to all Wigan world. Harry you was up early for this well done.
Nice, were is it in Aspull please.just for curiosity.
Cat Stevens may have had a hit with it, but the composer was Eleanor Farjeon
Peaceful. The best time of the day.
Superb Harry.
The tyre tracks in the path are deeper than 60+ years ago and the farm house neater, but the land remains the same.
Julie, Walker lower farm, five minutes walk from the fingerpost in Aspull. H.
I like it but it "feels" chilly! After all the snowmen and snow-filled scenes on the Christmas Cards adorning our homes, it is nice to see Christmas morning as it really was.
Nice one Harry.
To the left of this photo it's all houses now but when I was a kid it was still fields and a good place to go 'Brid Neezin'.
Nice one Harry, worth getting out early for.
I do like a good old fashioned well maintained fence.
It's beautiful. I agree with Kath, best time of the day.My favourite area around Wigan.
