Some ways indeed are very odd
By which we hail the birth of God.

May I wish all Wiganworlders at home and around the World A Very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year. Thanks are due to Brian,Ron and all the volunteers and contributors who make Wigan World what it is . The same message as last year, and the year before but no less heartfelt for that !
A lot of people will be going to church today, but not me because the church to me is a hospital for sinners and not a club for saints.
Merry Christmas to Brian and the team, and to everyone who make WW a great site. The Sherry's on me!
It's Christmas day!
I suspect now is a good time to wish all my friends on Wigan World a very merry Christmas.
I lift up my head
turn over and go
back to sleep.
Alan.
I wish all on Wigan World a happy xmas and may god be with you all.
If you are lonely this Christmas, don't be, there's plenty friends for you on Wigan World...just let your fingers do the talking.
All the best from Alex.
Season’s Greetings to all.
Merry Christmas everyone. I'll have a double sherry, please, Garry! xx
May you all have a peaceful and a Happy Christmas. God bless and go easy on the sherry....!
No problem irene and a mince pie if you like them next to my coal fire.
all the best you x.
Never a truer word spoken Mick. It’s surely the very reason we go to church, because we are sinners. It’s certainly not a club for saints, otherwise the churches in this country would be emptier than they sadly already are.
Nadolig Llawen to all the lovely people on Wigan World and best wishes for 2018. Looking forward to lots more stunning photographs.
All the very best everyone, and thanks Brian for what you do.
Best wishes everyone from someone who still associates Christmas with Uncle Joe's Mint Balls!
Mick -agree; the church isn't a club of perfection, just a field hospital and God knows we need a few of those at present
Thank you to Brian and Ron for all the hard work in keeping Wigan Worlders happy..and a Merry Christmas to you and everyone on here, may God be with you now and ever more...peace to you all.xx

A Happy Christmas To One And All, and a year end thanks to Brian and the admin team.
All the Best Everyone .
All the best to everyone involved in WW. The team, the contributors and the readers.
Every day of every year, I check the PAD, and just smile. Mostly I do that whilst in Spain, and the photo's remind me of Wigan's industrial heritage, our pioneering work in creating the industrial revolution. People like John Clarke who owned the Orrell Collieries, and had a steam driven railway from Winstanley to Crooke 16 years before Stevenson introduced his Rocket to the world. Clarke had Orrell Mount built as his home. His engineer who designed part of the locomotive, had built what is now the home of Wish fm.
Veronica, I have passed your wishes on to Carol, and I do likewise to all the motley crew who enjoy the banter and camaradery of this forum.
A merry Christmas to you all.
As above; it goes without saying, but we are indeed blessed because we have Wigan World to keep us solidly Wiganers!!
...and to all a good night!
