Bridge
Once more unto the 'bridge' dear friends, once more...
This bridge has just got to be one of the most photographed landmarks around Wigan, not seen a pic from this angle before. Once again, nice one Maurice.
Another masterpiece just beautiful thank you
Happy memories of walking this area with my best friend. A very picturesque bridge which asks to be photographed.
A scene unchanged over many years no doubt......picturesque.
I would love to know when this lovely bridge was built, and how many feet must have walked over it..thank you Maurice,it's a very nice serene shot.
Well Maureen this may give you a clue to the date of the bridge. The Leeds and Liverpool canal was under construction in the 1700s and completed in 1816, so the bridge could be around that year or a little after. How many people have walked over it...Millions!
Well done Maurice, a lovely photo.
Nice. It is a long time since the last oars and skulls went under that bridge.
Thanks for the replies, the bridge is perfect for taking pics of,I don't know anything about it though.
Thank you for that information Garry.
