Lacking in character. I expect it will look better when the landscaping is finished.

I'm inclined to think that we as a country, may be lagging behind our continental neighbours somewhat regarding the cost of overnight accommodation. I don't know what this place charges per night, but I would hazard a guess at 50 plus quid per night minimum. Am I right Mick?. Wheras in France, you can get a room at a Formule 1 for €22 for three people. Basic, yet adequate. Or at least you could five or six years ago, and It's even cheaper in Germany. That said, the prices will no doubt have increased by now, so let's say €35 at a guess. Even so, the price of a hotel room in this country is exorbitant in my view, despite what Lenny Henry would have us all believe. In fact, a room at a Motel 6 in the US of A would probably only average out at about $55 per night nowadays. Perhaps there may be one or two expats out there that could bring me up to date in this respect.
