You have a good eye for perspective, Mick. It is a well composed shot.

Fine picture - particularly the way the bridge arch brickwork has been highlighted.

Come off it don't make him big headed I look at his photos too,

yes they are very interesting shots at times but this is something a 4 year old could take stud at this side of the bridge

Comment by: Veronica on 6th October 2017 at 13:38

Very nice....a change from that 'creepy' tree!

Comment by: Alan H on 6th October 2017 at 14:06

Dougie, if you are going to criticize, please get the English correct. It is stood not stud and please don't blame predictive text. Although I see that my reply has been Americanized by my Apple I- pad. Criticise is the correct spelling in English.

The towpath shows a lot of wear. How many feet have trodden on that?

Comment by: Mick on 6th October 2017 at 17:20

Dougie, but one must get of ones fat bum to achieve this task.

Comment by: Julie on 6th October 2017 at 17:46

Predictive text? Dear Lord , as my brain slowly goes distant, please allow me to remember hopscotch, Lanky, walking days ,
a bag of sugar to/from your neighbour. The coalman in the rain , never failing . Not this..

Comment by: Dougie on 6th October 2017 at 20:22

Pauline, you may know the bridge also shows more wear where the ropes cut into the bridge wall as the horses pulled the coal barge round the bend in the canal,

Alan H, I only know this because Mick showed us the rope marks about 10 years ago on either side of the bridge,

You can't really argue with the man can you Mick?, it could have been taken by a four year old, let's be honest. But then, given enough time, the entire works of Shakespeare could be written by a monkey....We don't actually get many four year olds submitting photos on here do we?, but we certainly get our fair share of monkeys commenting don't we?.

Comment by: Lynne on 6th October 2017 at 22:21

Alan H. Set-up your Apple for British spelling. It isn't difficult.
PS... Its also Americanised....

Comment by: Alan H on 7th October 2017 at 11:46

Thanks, Lynne. Didn't take long.

Comment by: Julie on 7th October 2017 at 18:37

Desmond Morris eat your heart out. We have gone from Shakespeare to monkeys to you and me Mick. Human psychology at its best. I just love WW, stimulates my brain no end.
