HJ Heinz
A Soup-er view.
we could smell the soup from Marsh Green when we were out playing, especially oxtail
Was born & brought up in Kitt Green on City Road.
At least five menbers of my family worked at Heinz.
I've BEAN there may times between 1972 and 1992.Good pic Mick.
Remember once as a child , a helicopter landed on the roof of Heinz's. Me and my friends were so encased in the world of our council estate it was like watching as alien space ship landing . Great picture Mick
Nice photo, my uncle Billy Whittle worked there, it seems, for ever. Just curious, what is in the right hand background
Derek I think the estate might be Beech Hill and in the middle the houses might be on Wigan Lane, I can see what looks like a bridge, dont know where that can be.
In the back ground id Winter hill and the quarry on the right
I remember taking a girl home from the Casino club one night. She told me she worked at Heinz and was a sausage twister. I was in two minds to ask her if she fancied some overtime!
