View from the Pike

View from the Pike
The Heinz factory dominates this view - but the clock on the tower of Upholland Parish Church is just visible to its right. Beyond it the mast on the hilltop defines the Upholland-Ashurst ridge - with the glass factories of St Helens beyond in the mist.

The two rows of houses in the foreground look like they are the ones in Haigh

Very good David, the view of UpHolland is remarkably clear considering it's from Rivington.

You have better eyes than I David, I can't even see the church let alone the clock!!!

We all have the same view I suspect, Derrick Platt where ever you live.
