St Stephen's church
another church suffering with the lack of a vicar and diminishing numbers ...sign of the times I suppose
I think Churches these days are mainly for funerals, very few weddings and Sunday service dwindling fast. (sadly)
sad but true Gary
Pubs gone, Churches Gone, Bank Managers that can't be trusted, Politicians that command no respect whatsoever. It seems that the bedrock of the society that I grew up in is crumbling and disappearing rapidly. Sadly I see no sign that the next generation will replace it with something better.
Come on DTease cheer up mate, after all, one has to try to force oneself to look on the bright side doesn't one? For instance, Tesco's currently have an offer on Southern Comfort, and that can't be a bad thing can it? Also, B&Q are having an end of season clearout sale on hydrocele. In fact, they're practically giving the stuff away. So it isn't all doom and gloom is it mate? So come on, promise me you'll buck up.
Regards. Ozy.
Gosh! Reading today's comments,I think I'm glad to be living in Canada!
..No one mentions the beautiful blossoms or the church's architecture.
Come on,guys, cheer up,it's spring so that can't be all bad!
We're all Doomed.
You're right Ozy, I think I need a bit of a pick-me-up.
Does that Hydrocele stuff mix well with Southern Comfort?
Sounds very painful that Hydrothingy - you would need a large amount of Southern Comfort to ease the discomfort DTease! Lovely blossoms on the trees!
Can't say I've ever tried mixing it if I'm being honest DTease, but I've heard it's good ' on the rocks ' so to speak.
Sorry if I sound a bit down but the missus has gone away visiting and she forgot to get my beer in. I've been living on nothing but food and water all week.
(with thanks to W.C. Fields)
Sad about the Church, but I suspect it's a changing world.
Hey up the back, it's all about me me me!!!
Groan....Alan's back as well....! Nice picture David - always guaranteed diverse comments!
I'm pleased to see the downfall of man-made of religion/s. Religion has set humans back by thousands of years.
Sadly, others are entering the UK who are still clinging to the "old ways"
