That looks like 'Roy Chubby Brown' from the back.

The last tree on the left as now been cut down and the fence removed so I can get past on my bike without getting off

It must be very nice to nip out for a stroll along here if you live nearby! Another haven of peace and quiet away from the turmoil.

I suspect you have a very wide bike mick, if you can't pass that tree???

Many years ago where those trees are situated, there used to be a pub called the Top Lock Inn. I think it closed and was demolished in the early 1970s. It's nick name was Top house because the Kirkless Inn and Commercial Inn. Top, Middle and Bottom. Good pubs in their day.

Walk past here regularly, going through Hindley Hall golf course and Withington Lane, then up Higher Lane to Haigh Hall.
